IRS Required Site Coord. Training-TY2022The Basics:
The Site Coordinator Training based on Pub 5088 has been broken down into two parts, and SPEC has said that Site coordinators should plan to attend both sessions. As always, you must register through each link to attend its associated session. They are web only sessions, there will be Q&A and the recordings will be available to view throughout the filing season, but you must register if you wish to view the recordings after the fact.

Excel Spreadsheet Tax Returns-
For Returns from 1996-and on **use at your own risk! I find this resource very helpful as I have many clients who need older returns done. While Taxslayer now goes back quite a few years, I have had clients needing 2010-2016 done recently. This site has spreadsheets that go all the way back to 1996!!! Just read his disclaimer & double check everything! THe maker of these sheets has then saved on this site: https://sites.google.com/view/incometaxspreadsheet/home/download Thanks Glenn Reeves Please note: Form 8812 Additional Child Tax Credit is not part of the spreadsheet so you have to calculate it yourself and enter on the return. I just pulled the PDF from IRS.Gov and completed it myself. It is your responsibility to make sure the returns are correct--all credits they qualify for are entered, etc Free Sign Language Interpreters (can be done over ZOOM)
I do not know anything about this service-check them out yourself How is Video Relay Service (VRS) funded? All VRS companies are compensated through the same Telecommunications Relay Services (TRS) Fund established by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Sorenson receives compensation from the TRS Fund for the number of minutes interpreted for VRS calls. https://sorenson.com/solutions/video-relay-services/?gad=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwm4ukBhAuEiwA0zQxkwMuNQdMW1Ah76fQDbLomOmnV_uKVFTVhhNsqlfZ4Hlg1e0jaALV7xoC2eYQAvD_BwE#signup?utm_term=sorenson%20vrs%20zoom&utm_campaign=&utm_source=adwords&utm_medium=ppc&hsa_acc=9583364229&hsa_cam=19885784562&hsa_grp=146098304383&hsa_ad=652482746376&hsa_src=g&hsa_tgt=kwd-1423803503669&hsa_kw=sorenson%20vrs%20zoom&hsa_mt=b&hsa_net=adwords&hsa_ver=3 |

Please note: I, Mary Meador, AM NOT a certified accountant or tax law expert. I volunteer with VITA providing free tax preparation for individuals and families whose income is less than $66,000 a year. We deal with simple returns at our sites. I cannot guarantee the accuracy of all the information on this site as tax laws change and I may not have a clear understanding of complicated issues. I am trying to provide basic tax preparation information for our volunteers to get started--remember Publication 4012 is your go-to resource for questions, as well as irs.gov and Publication 17. I hope you find this information useful and easy to understand. Thanks for being a VITA/TCE volunteer!
